Pre-order Policy

A pre-order allows you to reserve a product before its expected release or before stock is ready for dispatch.

Payment

Payment is taken in full when the pre-order is placed.

Placing a pre-order reserves stock allocated to the order, but it does not guarantee a particular release or delivery date unless CardMate expressly agrees one.

Estimated dates

Release, arrival and dispatch dates are estimates based on the information available when the product is listed. Publishers, distributors and carriers may change these dates.

CardMate will update the product information or contact affected customers when we become aware of a significant delay.

Any delivery time specifically agreed for a pre-order takes priority over CardMate’s normal delivery timetable where legally permitted.

Mixed orders

Orders containing both in-stock and pre-order products will normally be dispatched together when all products are available, unless CardMate agrees otherwise.

If separate dispatch is requested and agreed, additional postage may apply.

Customer cancellations

You may cancel a pre-order before dispatch, subject to any applicable statutory exception. CardMate will not refuse an otherwise valid statutory cancellation.

A valid cancellation will be refunded to the original payment method without undue delay and within any period required by law.

Applicable statutory distance-selling cancellation rights remain fully protected. For most goods, this includes the right to cancel from the time the order is placed until 14 days after the day the goods are received, followed by a further 14 days to return them.

After dispatch, eligible cancellations and returns are handled under the CardMate Returns & Refunds Policy.

Allocation shortages and supplier cancellations

CardMate may occasionally receive less stock than expected, or a release may be cancelled.

If CardMate cannot fulfil an allocated pre-order product, that product will be cancelled and refunded in full to the original payment method. We will not substitute another product without your agreement.

Price changes

The price confirmed at checkout applies to the pre-order. CardMate will not increase the price of an existing paid pre-order without your agreement.

Product images and specifications

Pre-release images, packaging and product details may be provisional. Publishers may make reasonable changes before release.

CardMate will communicate any known material change that alters the nature of the ordered product.

Release-day delivery

Delivery on release day is not guaranteed unless CardMate expressly offers and agrees a release-day delivery service. Dispatch depends on stock arriving, being checked and being prepared for delivery.
